We are also expanding our store to include fair trade items. According to the Fair Trade Federation (FTF), "Fair Trade means an equitable and fair partnership between marketers in North America and producers in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and other parts of the world. A fair trade partnership works to provide low-income artisans and farmers with a living wage for their work". Although Originals can not join the FTF because we also sell items produced within the United States, we are dedicated to the principals of the fair trade movement. Towards this end we are now selling items handmade by artists in Vietnam which live up to the fair trade standards outlined by the FTF.
